You don’t need to add a cake smash to have one year photos taken of your baby, but just in case you’re wondering about the cake smash part here are some helpful answers to some common questions about cake smash photo sessions! View one year milestone pricing here

Why do a cake smash photography session?

Cake smash photography is just like messy sensory play. If you’ve ever let your little one wild with paint, play dough or sand then you’ll know how much they love experiencing something new. All of the new sensations, smells, colors. Cake smash photography is so much fun for them because it’s essentially messy play, but with a delicious birthday cake. Above all it’s a great fun way to celebrate their 1st birthday and have photos that you can treasure.

What are Rebecca Eller Photography cake smash sessions like?

In our cake smash photography sessions we like to start with play time. You pick a few of the studio toys for your baby to play with. We have a huge collection of beautiful Sarah & Bendrix wooden toys to choose from. Then we bring out the birthday cake, which is made by a local bakery. Finally it’s time for the mini roll-top bath tub and your little one can be washed off while having so much fun. Throughout the whole session I’ll be photographing every smile and messy moment.

How long do cake smash photography sessions last?

They tend to last between 1-1.5 hours and we go completely at your babies speed.

Where are your cake smash photography sessions held?

All of our cake smash photography sessions are held at the Rebecca Eller Photography studio in White Settlement, Texas. Which means we clean up all the mess, rather than you having to have all of that to clean up at home.

What’s the process to book?

If you wanted to book a cake smash photography session you simply need to send us a message with the dates you’d like to book for.

Once a date and time have been confirmed you’d pay the $75 deposit. The remaining balance is due the day of the session (prices can be seen here) and would be sent your digital photos and given the chance to select your favorites for download.

I hope that this answers all of your questions regarding cake smash photography, but please do let us know if you’d like any more information.
