This sweet tiny little guy did perfectly for his newborn session. I don’t give parents a whole lot of instructions on what do to before the newborn session because I don’t like the idea of trying to keep your baby awake for an hour before the session, which I know some newborn photographers tell parents to do for prep before their baby session. I will ask when baby has eaten last, just to gauge on when baby might need another feeding. If it is within an hour of baby’s next feeding I might say to go ahead and feed early before the session, but it depends on if baby seems slightly fussy or is very sleepy on arrival. But I always work around the baby and let them dictate how the session goes. I will take feeding breaks as needed, and I try to move quickly to get plenty of photos while is sleepy because as you might know, babies moods can shift very quickly! You will definitely will see me sweating during the session, mostly because I’ll be close to the space heater with baby.

I do tell parents to bring extra diapers, wipes, formula or breastmilk, or mom is welcome to breastfeed in the studio, and also make sure to bring a pacifier. Other than that, I have everything needed for the session!

This is about half of the gallery for the Grow With Me Newborn package, you will get LOTS of photos with this package, it is similar to choosing the Deluxe Newborn package, but it is cheaper when booked with the grow with me option.
