It’s been a busy month, and it just started! Everyone decided to have their baby in the same week! But that just means more snuggles for me!

I had the most perfect sleeper! She didn’t wake up until the very last photo. We flew through the session and were able to get so many great photos in a really quick time. Sleepy babies are always the best to work with. I know parents also love those awake newborn photos, but you honestly can’t get a variety of poses and images when the baby is awake, it’s much harder to work with, so if you can, try keeping your newborn awake for an hour or so and feeding them right before the session typically works for those dreamy baby photos!

Baby girl had a tough first few days. She arrived a little earlier than expected and had to spend some time in the NICU, but NICU babies are always my favorite. My daughter spent three weeks in the NICU herself when she was first born, so I understand the hardships of having a new baby in the hospital. But she rocked her first photoshoot.
