4 week old older newborn Fort Worth Photographer

This sleeping beauty was a month old when she came to visit me. It’s always unfortunate when I see or hear about other photographers not taking newborns after 14 days old. Yes, newborns are more sleepy in the first 2 weeks, but this baby definitely proved that wrong! She slept the entire time and was a dream to photograph. She only woke up when the session was over, which is when I like to get photos of baby doing their own thing and being them. Plus, look at that sweet dimple on her chin! I have photographed several older newborns and never turn away a family looking for photos of their baby because they didn’t schedule an appointment when they were pregnant or within the first couple of days after their new bundle arrived. Don’t let the idea of newborns need to be photographed before a certain age, because I would gladly take all the babies!

Dallas Trophy Club Newborn Lifestyle Photographer

I recently started offing more of a lifestyle type session. My style has always been simple with minimal use of props, but now in this lifestyle type newborn session there are no props, just strictly baby in a white bodysuit or swaddle. It is a very airy light feeling of having baby unposed and natural on a white blanket backdrop.

Specializing in providing the best DFW natural newborn photography

As a newborn photographer I feel it is important to have my style something I enjoy and would want photos of for my own baby. I love having timeless and organic newborn photos. Newborn poses have some crazy names, like “Froggy” and “Taco” and I was actually never a fan of those poses, they didn’t seem natural to me. I like capturing baby in a natural state, something that looks comfortable and will never go out of style. You wouldn’t happen to catch your newborn in their crib with their feet next to their head propped up resting their head in their hands on their elbows, so why put them in that position for newborn photos?

I love when my clients feel the same way and love my minimal style which keeps the focus on their baby in a way they want to remember forever.

I do always welcome parents to bring in a keepsake or something meaningful that we can incorporate into the photo session, and for this mom it was to bring a floral wreath the she had custom made from a floral shop she used to work at.
