I had my first full outdoor newborn session and it was fun! Though we were racing to beat the rain and when we got to the last set up it started to sprinkle, so thank goodness the rain held off.

I love when parents bring in something special to them to have incorporated, and dad just so happened to be a biker, and they wanted to use his leather jacket, and I was happy to, I think the most treasured newborn photos are the ones that has a special item added in, whether that be something passed down for generations or just something that’s simply a hobby! Turns out dad has biked all over the U.S.They’ve been to a few places I’ve lived, such as Portland and San Diego, and have settled down, for now, in Fort Worth. I was so excited to be able to use Valentine colors for this session since it was the day before Valentine’s! But this wine color looks to lovely, I’ll definitely be using it more!

A fellow Marine and a former co-worker had her baby, and I just had to photograph his sweet little face. There were so many good photos, it was hard for me to choose just four, which I normally post for blogs, but I kept it down to seven. Also, how cute is big brother?! I love doing siblings poses, and I know mom and dad love those pictures too! I personally think parent shots are my favorite though, but it could be because I never had photos taken of me with my daughter when she was a newborn, and I wish I had. It bums me out a little bit when mom doesn’t want her photo taken because she doesn’t feel her best, but honestly, the parent shots are for your precious new bundles of joy to appreciate when they are older, and they grow up so fast!

I took a little time off after the holidays, and came back to this cute baby boy, with amazing eye lashes! It’s sad when a newborn has longer eye lashes than you, haha! Sleepy babies are always best to get great poses, but who doesn’t love a few awake shots too? Good thing this little guy slept most of the time up until the session was almost over, but he did good for his first photo shoot!
