For a long time I’ve wanted to offer an additional package, one that has more of a lifestyle feel. There is no question that I love the simple, timeless, natural feel of newborn photography, but I wanted to turn that up a notch and make it even more simple. My new package is called the Delicate Newborn package, and is sort of how it sounds. There are no props, and no extravagant outfits. Just baby, in their purest form. I will still lightly assist for some posing, but for the most part this is baby-led posing and the baby will dictate how the session goes. There will be a mix of swaddled and not, however, baby will not be naked during this session. I will put your baby in a white onesie, or white pants, or different wraps to cover their diaper. All photos of your baby will be captured on the white blanket. If you would like to have a session similar to the Delicate newborn session, but would like to add parent and sibling photos you can book the Classic Newborn session and simply state you would like to have no props for your session and want the lifestyle type session the Delicate session offers. Please know that not every pose can always be achieved with every baby, each baby is unique just as their session will be.

Babies don’t like to be messed with and usually hate being naked, mostly because they get cold easier than adults would. All a newborn baby wants is to be warm, cozy and have a full tummy. it’s these facts that form the basis of my newborn photography sessions. In my photography you’ll notice that the baby always starts fully swaddled and I do light posing and minimal props. I love to keep baby in one position and maximize as many angels before disturbing them and moving them into a new pose. It’s hugely different from the norm in newborn photography but I prefer a more natural approach to my newborn photography and creating timeless moments of your baby in a way you will want to remember them in years to come, just as they are because they are perfect without a bunch of distracting props and overly posed.
